  无可置疑,英语老师们普遍感到了网络所到来的便利与优越,但我也感觉到了英语教师最关注和迷惑的是关于教学模式的选择,即落实到具体操作上出现了一种盲目性和无序性,因为这毕竟是一项崭新的课题,尚无章可循,笔者在课程整合的实验中借鉴了许多专家的优秀经验,结合本校的实际,在教学模式上进行了大量的尝试和有效的探索,效果还是令人满意的。依据网络本身的特点和教育本身的规律,网络教育与英语课程整合的教学模式的选择可以通过以下几个环节来实现:

  一、利用网络资源,激发学生学习兴趣

  教育心理学研究指出,兴趣出自好奇.我们可以利用计算机多媒体技术,通过联系生产,生活实际,选择贴近生活,具有时代特点的事例.图文并茂,形象生动地创设优美的情境,做到有物有意,使学生置身其中,以激发他们学习英语知识的浓厚兴趣,引发学生的思考.

  例如,在教学初中英语人教版一年级下册 Unit 9 It’s raining 时,我制作了大量有关天气和季节方面的图片.首先链接了一个四季的配乐的诗歌朗诵,让学生感受到四季气候的特点.接着播放了几个画面: wind-刮风, rain-下雨, snow-下雪, cloudy-多云, sunny-晴天.同时在播放时,点击相关的单词,可以朗读数遍,学生跟读几遍.这样学生在不知不觉中就学了这几个单词,自然而然地引领学生融入英语学习的情境之中,大大激发了学生学习兴趣,为后面内容的学习打下了基础.

  二、利用网络优势,探究教学内容

  学生主动地获取由教师汇编整理并放置在网络上的相关资料以及其它的网络资料,在获得基本知识之后,在课堂教学中,围绕着相关的问题进行自我探究或集体讨论,教师以平等的姿态参与和引导学生的讨论,使教学过程由传统的传承型转变为探究型。

  在教授初中英语人教版第三册的第3课Make our world more beautiful时,这个单元提出的是废气,废水,垃圾污染的问题;,我有意抛弃了传统的讲读教学过程,设计出了下面这样一个探究式的教学过程:1、问题收集:由教师和学生提出问题,整理归类,供以后研究学习讨论;2、选择探究方向:学生凭兴趣自由选择教材中的一种污染来进行探究,探究方向相同的学生组成一组,以便分工协作,发挥团体优势;3、资料查询及讨论:由学生利用各种渠道(图书馆、因特网等)查找所需的资料,然后组内进行集体讨论;4、成果汇报:由各组选出一名代表汇报本组探究学习中的心得体会及研究成果;这样的教学过程,极大地挖掘出了学生探究学习的潜力,学习过程中,学生兴趣盎然,积极参与,踊跃发言,感受到了前所未有的一种学习乐趣。

  三、活用网络教学,培养协作能力

  教育信息化意味着教师不再拥有控制知识的“霸权”,传授知识的途径和方式将走向多元化,网络将代替教师的部分职能,教师与学生的关系将由传统的“教师-学生”关系转向合作与对话,因此,教师在未来的教育过程中应该学会以一位辅导型和探讨型的对话姿态出现的web教师,实现教学活动的协作化,充分体现学生的主体功能。

  以Make our world more beautiful为例,我采用“参与协作式”教学活动,以激发学生的创造性思维为主要目标,要求学生根据教师所提供的影视资料,自行选取镜头,设计剧本,人人试当“编剧”,结合所给的图片、动画、录像、人物对白等,再加上自己的想象、创造,把静态的文字转变为动态的画面,使被动的学习变为主动的创造。为了达到激发学生创造思维的目的,我设计了以下教学流程:

  (1) 演示从影视库中剪接下的与课文内容相关的影视资料(图片、动画、录音、录像等),要求学生每四人为一组,根据所见资料,编成电影剧本。

  (2) 抽查学生所编剧本,用实物投影仪显示出来,让大家分析改编后剧本的优缺点,重点放在对细节描写、场面描写、对话描写把握的精确与否上。

  (3) 让学生根据剧本排练成课本剧,自编自演,通过角色的扮演充分体验人物情感和文章的所折射出来的人生况味。

  (4)学生谈感受与体验:我专门以此为专题在论坛上组织了一次讨论会,要学生畅谈体验和感受。

  事实证明,由于采用编剧的新形式,加上多媒体教学软件的优化组合,学生兴致盎然,热情高涨,气氛活跃。在激烈的讨论中,学生的创造力得到极大的开发,他们既能根据特定的时代背景和人物心态,给剧中人物配上适合的对白、动作等,还能指出何处可加上一些合适的人物神态和舞台布景,以配合人物的不同的内心感受。他们层出不穷的好点子大大出乎我意料之外,由此可见,学生的可朔性是极强的,关键在于怎样发挥多媒体形象性直观性的长处,并与教学形式实现最优组合,引导他们挖掘自己的潜能,促使他们的创造能力得到开发和加强,使之成为教学过程中的自觉的参与者和合作者。

  四、整合课程教学的几点体会

  1、教学理念有了转变。开展信息技术与英语课程整合研究,最关键的问题是有效促进了教师自身理念的更新与转变。即由过去的以“教”为主的传统英语教学旧模式,改变为现在的以“学”为主的“整合”教学新模式,树立了"以人为本"的教育思想。教师的教学策略、教学方法与教学手段都得到全面改观,从而使学生由过去的被动“接受式”或“被填灌式”的学习状态,转变成为现在的自主式与开放式的主动学习状态,极大地改变了死记硬背式地学习抽象的英语知识、思维活动受到严重压抑的状况,充分提高了他们的学习兴趣与学习能力,特别是调动了他们的思维积极性,有效提高了他们的创新思维能力。为学生的自由、和谐、全面发展提供了可能,培养学生学会做人、学会求知、学会做事、学会生存。

  2、教学资源得到丰富。通过整合,把英语学科和信息技术有机地融为一体,强调信息技术服务于具体的任务,学生以一种自然的方式对待信息技术,把信息技术作为认知工具,学生使用计算机获取、处理信息就像使用电话、铅笔、橡皮那样自然,使学生在潜移默化中得到锻炼,培养学生综合处理问题的能力。

  3、教学模式得到创新。创新精神是创新的前提,也是创新的源泉,培养学生的创新能力,是课程整合的目的之一。在实验中,把计算机作为认知工具,采用"任务驱动"和"合作学习"的教学策略,构建新型教学模式,通过各种各样的主题"任务"驱动教学,有意识地开展信息技术与学科相联系的横向综合教学。我根据学生特点,利用网络环境优势,发挥多媒体及网络交互性强、资源丰富的优势,创造宽松、和谐的学习氛围,每个学生都有主动参与、表现的机会,通过互查、互评、互帮、互学等活动,为学生共同寻求答案、解决疑难问题提供了舞台,提高了创新能力及解决实际生活问题的能力。

  4、语言实际运用能力得到提高。传统学校教育强调的只是书本知识、对实践能力的培养重视不够,课堂教学的小环境与学生丰富多采的家庭、社会生活的大环境严重脱节,面对信息时代对高素质人才的需求, 通过整合,把以教科书为中心转向利用多媒体组成的教材体系和社会大课程中。学生可以方便的获得书籍、光盘、网络上的信息及软件,在解决实际问题中学习,以此提高实践能力,为终生学习打下坚实基础。

  5、理想的英语学习环境得到营造。建构主义与人本主义理论都要求教师要为学生学习创设情境、协作、交流与自主建构知识意义的良好学习环境。信息技术与英语课程整合,由网络提供的多媒体的文本、图形、图像、动画、影视等视频信息与解说、拟音、音乐等音频信息,这种多媒体信息的集成功能为学生学习英语学习知识创设了图文并茂、形神兼备的课文情境,大大激发了学生的学习兴趣和动机,英语课上学生思维活跃,兴趣盎然,不仅大大提高了他们对课本语言文字的理解能力与感悟能力,从而形成思维的敏捷性、广阔性、深刻性、灵活性、批判性以及独创性等良好的思维品质。促进了学生的实现,发展了他们的个性品质与智慧潜能。

  综上所述,在Internet网络的学习环境下,“发现式、探究式”教学是学生掌握学科内容的最基本方法,是现代信息技术与英语课程整合的最重要的一种教学策略,也是我们初中英语教学改革所致力追求的。其最终目标,就是教学“以人为本”的哲学回归,就是最大限度地使学生能够自主探索,获取知识,提高能力,发挥个性,培养情感,使之英语素养得到训练和升华,为孩子后期可持续发展提供了内在的动力源泉。
